As a Registered Nurse, in hospice, gerontology, pediatric oncology and as a nursing director, with a robust background in Natural and Biological Sciences, Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion and life experience to the table. Her expertise is further enriched by her skills as a Massage Therapist, with specialized training in aromatherapy, herbal remedies, and various massage techniques. This unique blend of sciences and holistic practices informs the health-centric aspect of Foodie Fam Farms.
Jennifer's past roles as a fine dining general manager, chef and bartender have seasoned her with a flair for culinary excellence and a palate for exquisite flavors. With half of her familial roots in the deep south of Georgia and Alabama, and the other half being straight from Spain, Jennifer grew up canning foods, from the home gardens, fishing off the piers in San Francisco and the Alabama River, and making everything from homemade buttermilk biscuits and chicken and dressing to paella and cioppino. She learned how make wine by the age of 6, to clean prawns, squid and crab before the age of 8, how to hunt and dress a deer by the age of 10, and how to butcher and clean a chicken by the age of 12. These experiences, combined with her role as a mother and farmer, have cultivated her ability to create fresh, nourishing and mouthwatering farm-to-table experiences.
An entrepreneur at heart, Jennifer's pursuits in nursing, hospitality and life sciences are the bedrock of her mission: to foster a community of likeminded people, dedicated to the betterment of life. This includes enjoying both the finer things and the little things, being passionate about what you take in as well as the impact you make on your surroundings. Jennifer is passionate about plants, animals, the ocean and cooking. Many of her plants are named, and her laundry room has slowly transformed into a greenhouse, with ladybugs and lights to support the fragile plants that cannot handle winter. She speaks to her dogs like they are people, and they vocally answer back. On some summer evenings, you can find her and her daughter "rescuing" snails, by moving them, by hand, by the dozens from her garden areas to spots designated just for them. And other times, they do the opposite with worms.
When Jennifer and Jeremy fell in love, she swore that he was a hippy soul, just like her. Initially, he fought it, still wearing collared shirts daily and meticulously trimming his beard. It wasn't long before he bought a pair of cowboy boots, was excited about "burn days" and found himself referring to the plants by name as well.

As a restaurant consultant, Jeremy's insight and expertise have been the guiding light for establishments seeking to navigate the competitive culinary landscape. His commitment to community shines through in his creation of Mastermind courses, where he shares his knowledge and fosters growth among professionals.
Beyond the steakhouse, Jeremy's hands have shaped chocolate into edible art as a Chocolatier and toffee maker, selling his gourmet toffee in some of the nicest farmers' markets in Southern California. It was here that he quickly became passionate about farmers, small business owners and how fortunate we are to live in the farm-to-fork capitol of the world. Soon after, he moved to Northern California to marry Jennifer, where his touch helped turn the earth of her farm into bountiful harvests.
Having resided twenty minutes away from some of the nicest beaches in California and frequently traveling to the shores of Mexico, fresh seafood became a new passion as well. Jeremy is well-known for his various mignonette toppings for fresh oysters and pairing the perfect wine for each.
Jeremy is a talented bartender, bartending some of the nicest weddings in Santa Barbara and crafting cocktails from fresh produce, surprising ingredients, smoking guns and homemade syrups. Passionate about the bartending profession, Jeremy obtained his Sommelier from the first Sommelier in the United States. As a Sommelier, Jeremy has a vast knowledge of alcoholic beverages from all over the world. This interest has taken him to Italy, to visit the Tuaca distillery, introduced him to Master Distillers from Makers Mark and Jim Beam, and taken him to some of the best wineries and breweries in the country.
Jeremy's passions extend beyond the kitchen and into the fairways; he's an avid golfer who finds joy in the game's blend of skill, patience, and the great outdoors. Friends and family know him as the life of the party, a person whose caring nature and fun-loving spirit are as infectious as his enthusiasm for food and wine.
